Thread: We must put an end to Lucid Dreaming

It's been mathematically proven that each time you have a lucid dream, your lifespan is reduced by 3 hours, 27 minutes, and a few seconds.

Actually, eventhough non of you are being serious here: Lucid Dreaming IS in the bible. I don't know the exact page/verse, but it's in the 1st testament about King Solomon who has a Lucid Dream claiming something along the lines:" I was in a Dream, My body was asleep, but my heart suddenly awoke to knocking o0n the door. I stood up and walked towards the door from behind which I heard the voice of my lover"

Also the use of Cannabis (derived from hebrew "QannehBosh") and sacred mushrooms too is cryptically described in the bible. There's so many things most people don't know about the bible.
Qannehbossim or cannabis was the main ingredient of the oil-ointment Jewish highpriests of the Temple of Jerusalem used to anoint themselves with before entering the temple.

What do you think the "Visions" were that Jesus had? And also in Islam; Muhammad the prophet receives a message from earthangel Gabriël in a Lucid Dream. I like the bible. I'll soon order a copy of the 1st Testament and read it inside out. There's lots of Shamanic/Sorcerer-wisdom "hidden" in there.

Nice answer SKA. The Bible is full of saints who had visions, lucid dreams, and out of body experiences. The Apostle Paul was another one. Anyone who has ever seriously studied the Bible, instead of listening to what someone from a pulpit tries to brainwash them with would know that.

Yes, lucid dreaming is quite dangerous, as it empowers a person to take control of their own life, something that certain religious leaders might not want, as they might feel their control over their congregation diminishing.

You seem sincere in your concern MSG, but let me assure you that I have found nothing but good in lucid dreaming, and out of body experiences, as they empower a person to take charge of their life and become a better person.

I would encouragne you try lucid dreaming yourself and make up your own mind, instead of taking someone elses word for it, who obviously knows nothing about it.

I don't think we should stop there. Let's put an end to all SLEEPING! Sleep leads to harder drugs, such as dreaming and even LUCID DREAMING!! It can cause people to stagger about in the morning, unable to be productive until they take yet another drug: CAFFEINE! People who combine sleep with NICOTINE have been known to burn alive with the fiery agony of hell itself!

Yes! Sleeping is a horrible drug. It makes you fall unconscious for at least 8 hours, hallucinate ( known by the abusers jargon as 'dream' ).
There are even horrible phenomena such as sleep-paralysis, and nightmares!
Very often people fall asleep and start walking around, usually getting themselves killed!
Abusers were even found to take this drug when driving, which leads to immediate disaster.

Some people are saying (seriously or not) that God think lucid dreaming is bad. I think I get where they're coming from, but I don't really agree. In the bible God used dreams to help people. SOmetimes lucid dreams as SKA said. I think Lucid dreaming is okay as long as you don't let it go to your head and interfear with your normal life. You have to remember that no matter how cool it was, it was still a dream.

Don't worry, mostly everybody here in this thread are joking. The "it was still a dream" statement can be discussed, but It's generaly best for society to keep it the way you said. I don't really agree with it though.

Lucid Dreaming has done nothing but better my life and help me get closer to getting Brad Pitt in my bed.

If someone wants to stay in bed because they are addicted to lucid dreaming, why not? Isn't it better than going out and doing REAL drugs? I don't think god is against it (if there is a god, that is) because then he would have at least mentioned it.

Just like everything else in life. You can choose to do good or bad.
