Thread: We must put an end to Lucid Dreaming

LDs give me delusions of grandeur even more so than in real life. I'm in an LD 12-step program. The first step was admitting that I have a problem.

Man, these people simply won't realise that lucid dreaming is unnatural?

Can't they see it's a drug? You can easily get addicted!!! Do you figure how much time you lose daily for lucid dreaming? How you could be doing so many other, useful things such as surfing the internet, masturbating, smoking, studying math... But you're wasting your time lucid dreaming!!! I hear some people even sleep less, so that they have more time to lucid dream. That is outrageous.

I say it is really dangerous!!! Dreams are not supposed to be nice!!! All our dreams must be short, painful and sad.

Lucid dreaming was something created by the US government to try to control our minds..... or maybe... it was something made by Satan for us to have fun (I don't remember which now, they're both supposed to be bad though)

Dreaming is what it is, we all have opinions but really people...
If some are becoming power hungry or addicted then they need help but I suggest it says more about the person then dreaming. Lucid dreaming is not dangerous, people are, if someone cannot control it do u not think they were unstable in the first place? Any individual using sleep soley to escape reality needs help but it is hardly 'satanic'.

i'd also like to point out that a dreaming is hardly 'power', in fact if someone is that power crazy it is possibly the safest place for them to express this power, if only Hitler or Bush had tried it instead..
