Thread: Do you have a height preference for potential partners??

So if you're a guy, how tall is your dream girl in comparison to you, and vice versa for girls?

I prefer guys who are taller than me but "within reach," if you know what I mean. The reason I ask this is because for some reason, I always find it so funny that guys go around with girls who are shorter than them.. hehe but that's because I'm a girl and don't really understand attraction from a male's perspective. Why do guys like shorter girls, and are there any guys out there who prefer taller women, or at least women of the same height?

To me, it doesn't matter unless she's taller than me. It touches on my fear of being anything like Tom Cruise.

But, yea, only if she's taller than me (which is very rare). I mean, doesn't it just look wierd when the dude is smaller. I feel obligated to bring up Tom Cruise again.

I don't remember ever being in a serious relationship where the guy was taller. Current boy is half an inch shorter, and when I wear heels.....

I would like someone at least 4 inches taller than me, so that way we've got all the based covered. If I wanna skank it up and where 4 inch heels when I'm out with my man, at LEAST we'll be eye to eye. And when I'm not wearing heels he can be the tall one and I won't feel like a giant like I usually do.

Yeah, anything shorter than me will go. I guess eye-level is the sweet spot, anything lower than the shoulders is starting to get freaky .

I guess the proper explanation is that, in nature, male mammals are usually bigger than their female counterparts, so men/women try and find a partner that is proportional to their size. Just a gene thing.

So do taller women sort of threaten guys' masculinity or something along those lines? Tom Cruise..

Kichu, hahaha I totally hear ya. One of my friends has this obsession with REALLY tall guys (like 6'3 or something)... that kind of height was never my style, but man it would be really nice to wear some sexy heals yet still have your guy be taller.

I prefer woman taller than me to be honest. Hence I've said I wish I was smaller in a past thread.

I love it all guys give a shit about is that she isn't taller than you.

I probably draw the line at like 5'9"

I don't much care. I'd rather she not be shorter than say 5'3" or so, or taller than say, an even 6 feet. Beyond that, let freedom reign.*

Truly, I find that height is not a factor that I consider, but perhaps this is only because of my rare position.

I really can't say that I care, all that much. Ideally, I like a woman that's shorter than me. I like having to loom over her to kiss her, and generally like feeling that I can envelope her in a way that being just as tall as just doesn't cut.

On the other hand, I've been really attracted to women that were just as tall as I was and, when I was younger, women that were even taller than I was. So I can't really discriminate. I like 'em all. No matter the height.

Few inches taller than me so that all I have to do is tilt my head up to kiss. Being too tall will be a strain on my neck and toes. (I do not wear high heels unless I really have to at some formal gathering).

Guys that are shorter than me dun turn me on at all. *thinks about having to lean over* Ew. Also, I can't really feel that safe when a small dude wraps his arms around me. Feels kinda wrong... like a kid hugging me.

I would feel kind of the same way if the girl is too short.

It's weird when I see some coupls in my highschool, the girls are sometimes like 2 grades behind and like half the hight of some of the guys, I don't know why would they ever think about going out with someone that small, there like a 12 year old in comparisen.

It's because they failed with everyone else in their grade and all they have a chance with are people younger than them. Senior guys to freshman girls..... ew. That means they failed with everyone in their grade, everyone in the junior grade, and everyone in the sophmore class.

Oh the joys of post high school where age doesn't matter to quite such an extent!

I prefer them between 5'8-6'2 feet tall. But I don't mind smaller guys as long as they're not to small.

I know what you mean. I'm 5'9 and I don't feel tall at all, but people keep telling me that I do.

I'm 5'4 and I like taller guys. I feel more protected.
