I'm starting to get ready for school by means of waking up early. This morning I forced myself to get up at 7:30 am, which was pretty bad. I was tired and felt half-asleep, and now I'm still pretty groggy. |

If you're used to getting up at a specific time and you then get up earlier you will get tired, even if you go to bed earlier. I wake up 7am every morning no matter what time I go to bed. If you're getting into a new routine it will take some time. This might interfere with your dreaming but waking up slowly seems to help like a really gentle alarm that goes off and then goes off again in 15 minutes so that you don;t have to jump out of bed at the last minute |

You should try waking up after a REM cycle. I notice that when I do WBTB and I wake up during a REM cycle, I feel really groggy and just want to go back to sleep, but when I wake up right after, I have less trouble getting up. Don't know if this works for everyone, but I think it does for me. |
