How to get up early without being tired?

I'm starting to get ready for school by means of waking up early. This morning I forced myself to get up at 7:30 am, which was pretty bad. I was tired and felt half-asleep, and now I'm still pretty groggy.

The problem is, I got a full 9 hours of sleep that night. Why am I still tired? Is it just because I'm waking up earlier, and going to bed earlier than normal? But would that really effect my energy levels?
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Did you have a deep sleep? Sometimes we don't which makes us tired.

I should really start doing this for my schooling aswell lol, cba though.

If you watch t.v before you sleep it puts your mind into over-drive so you can't sleep properly. So try not to

I got up twice during the night, at 3:00 and 6:30, but that always happens.

I completely forgot about the television thing, I did watch some movies last night before crashing... Hopefully I'll remember for tonight and see if it makes a monumental difference.

If you're used to getting up at a specific time and you then get up earlier you will get tired, even if you go to bed earlier. I wake up 7am every morning no matter what time I go to bed. If you're getting into a new routine it will take some time. This might interfere with your dreaming but waking up slowly seems to help like a really gentle alarm that goes off and then goes off again in 15 minutes so that you don;t have to jump out of bed at the last minute

You should try waking up after a REM cycle. I notice that when I do WBTB and I wake up during a REM cycle, I feel really groggy and just want to go back to sleep, but when I wake up right after, I have less trouble getting up. Don't know if this works for everyone, but I think it does for me.

Also, light helps, so if always get up at 6:30, open your curtains there's more light in your room, and then go back to sleep for a couple of hours or so.
