      Sleep posture

In what position do you sleep?
I sleep with my stomach down and feet out of the bed but still covered by the sheets, I have a back problem (Discal Protusion) and this way it never hurts me, I also put a pillow under one of my shoulders, the one I have my face turn to. I have heard that the most healty position to sleep is on your back or lying on your side but this doesn't work for my back, but it seems harder to lucid dream when you sleep on your stomach although I've already had two lucid dreams this way, one of them the longest I had.

I can't sleep on my stomach, as far as I know. When I lie on my stomach I begin to feel my pulse beating near the place between my rib cage against the bed, which bothers me.

While falling asleep, I alternate between lying on my back and side every few minutes. One will seem more comfortable, then the other, etc. But when I actually fall asleep it's always on my back, and that's how I always wake up.

I usually sleep on my side, but it can vary because my chest can either face upwards or downwards. I rarely face a wall, I always need to aware of what happens in the room, so I look at the door and windows mainly.

I think I'm weird because I sleep on a couch-mode-futon, but I alternate between back, side facing back, side facing away from back, halfway between back and side with back in corner of futon, stomach facing back, and stomach facing away from back. I have no idea what I prefer, it depends on how tired I am or how my back is feeling.

I'm usually on my stomach when I wake up but it is pretty random.

I think I'm doing something wrong somewhere. It takes me a long time to fall asleep, definitely longer if I'm sleeping on a mattress and not my futon.

Initially on my back, turning on the side for variety or when I get uncomfortable (like the times when I can't sleep)

well it sucks that you have the back problem thing, i personally sleep on my stomach back or side... depeds what im feeling like, however i find it confortable to have the entire body wrapped in sheets including my head... all that sticks out is my mouth and nose for breathing.
on a side note i need a new bed i am a big guy 6 ft 4 and like 240 pounds and i am still rocking the single bed lol i need an upgrade ughhh i truly beleivee i will have more lucids this way

I guess I will be the only one to confess that I sleep in fetal position(or a position very similar, I am not quite in fetal, about 3/4 to it from lying straight). It is very comfortable but for a long time I refrained for doing it because I thought it was bad for my back. According to an article I read though, it is actually good for you because it helps alleviate pressure on your organs.
supposedly, this is best to worse as far as health and a good sleep is concerned
