I am not quite sure what would be causing this. Do you have a window open? It's possible you are sweating in the night and then the breeze cools you down. |

I have on several occasions been deep in a dream then suddenly jolted out awaking shivering, teeth chattering, the whole bit. This just happened again last night and it's summer in texas, I don't use A/C. Does anyone have any ideas of what this is about? I've searched the net, but not been able to come up with any real answers. |

You should mention this to your doctor. It is not a huge deal. It is probably just from a release of adrenaline. It could be something more serious like anxiety, sleep apnea, or a heart condition. Have you had any problems with low blood pressure in the past? |
