Like anything that helps you fall asleep faster like Nyquil or sleeping pills, it's possible to develop a dependence if you continuously use it. I would try to find natural ways to fall asleep easier; there's tons of articles online, but here's a few.

      - Exercise a few hours before going to bed.
      - Turn off or dim the lights in your room a few minutes before bed to mimic a sunset (circadian rythym).
      - Avoid dramatic or intense films an hour or so beforehand.
      - Avoid grain products or "energy"-rich foods in the hour before going to sleep. Don't eat a whole bunch either, because heavy digestion could help keep you awake.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Like Puffin said, it would be much better to naturally fall asleep. If you find that you are having trouble falling asleep just search for relaxing music on youtube or google. In my WILD guide, I have a list of music you can listen to right before bed that will leave you relaxed.
