      Dont get much sleep

I'm pretty sure that an accurate estimate of how much sleep I get every night is 5 hours 40 minutes to 5 hours maybe less.It usually takes me a while to get to sleep. I know the amount of sleep you get can affect your lucids, thats why I'd like to be able to get to sleep faster. Any help would be appreciated.
P.S. I'm 13 almost 14 so drugs are probably not an option

The question is, how do you fall asleep? There was a pretty long time in my life where I regulary would take about an hour to fall asleep or more. That's due to me always consciously processing information, so it's hard to just mentally shut the fuck up and go to sleep. Rather than that I think about random stuff that comes to my mind until my brain slowly shuts down. I've gotten better at calming my mind though and that also enabled me to fall asleep faster. In some of my wild attempts I also found out that it's a lot easier to fall asleep if I concentrate on one tiny thing (like a mantra, a feeling or something else) and relaxing every other part of you, while giving in to all itches or signs of discomfort.
Personal Records so far: Max lucids per day: 2 | Max lucids per week: 4 | Max lucids per month: 8 | Max dreams recalled in one night: 17
      Longest lucid dream: ~35min | Highest flight: zoomed out of common existence [WTF?] | Fastest speed: FTL | DILD/EILD/DEILD [X] | WILD/VILD [X] | MILD/FILD/HILD [ ]

You can try exercising during the day. Maybe running?

You can also get up earlier so that you'll be more tired later on..

Stay away from artificial light after dark. That means no TV or PC, only DV in night-mode.

You must sleep 8 hours it is good for the health point of view. A good doctor also recommend that 8 hours sleep in the night is beneficial for the body and also for the brain.

The purposes and mechanisms of sleep are only partially clear and are the subject of intense research.Sleep is often thought to help conserve energy, but actually decreases metabolism only about 5–10%. Hibernating animals need to sleep despite the hypometabolism seen in hibernation, and in fact they must return from hypothermia to euthermy in order to sleep, making sleeping "energetically expensive."

Just to let you know, some of the greatest minds only slept 3 hours a night. As for the whole "drug" thing, melatonin is natural, so is something like sleepy time tea, L-Tryptophan, Hopps (the pill not the booze), and you don't have to be 18 to buy it. The way I see sleep has always been that a relaxed body is best, but your body (in my opinion) does not have to be exhausted, otherwise I wouldn't sleep 8 to 10 hours a day. I love sleep, I swear I do, it's the first thing I think about when I wake up.

Anyways, try sleep aids if you need to, and no it won't screw with you, BUT if you use the chemical sleep aids, they may have a negative effect, and you can overdose on them. With natural ones, you still can technically overdose on them, but hell there was one time that I took like 8 melatonins just because I wanted to sleep really bad, and yeah, I slept. I also damn near threw up in my sleep from my body wanting to reject the high amount of foreign pills. So either way, take as advised.

Oh, and self-hypnosis can do wonders.

NO, NO, that's bullshit! I wasn't with a hooker today HA HA!

You must rest 8 time it is excellent for the health perspective. A excellent medical professional also suggest that 8 time rest in the night is valuable for the body and also for the mind.

LOL, they are not really hurting anyone though. You must admit it's a good advice.

I know - and no links either, which is why I haven't done anything yet. I don't know why the Sleep and Health forum seems to draw so much spam - but in checking Siemens' other posts they're all totally generic and obviously made by a bot - but if ousourcefirm is a bot it must be extremely sophisticated.

Lol why would someone come up with outsourcefirm as a username? I'm gonna PM him and see if I get a response.

Maybe he is a spammer AND a lucid dreamer. He is just mixing job and pleasure.
