You may try mindfulness meditation. It is about of being aware of the sounds and activities happening around you. You may search it, if you want to try. |

Does anyone here know any meditation techniques I could try to relieve some stress, anxiety, and help me keep more focused? I've been stressed lately so I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I've been meditating for the past couple of weeks for about 30 minutes doing the breathing techniques and its been helpful, but I'm trying to find something that's more suitable and helps allot that can help me with my anxiety and stress levels. Thanks. ^_^ |

First of all, you must find a peaceful as well as calm place to practice meditation. Meditation at such places are very good and can have a good effect. Begin with closing your eyes and holding your breath till the time you can. This can benefit you in a big way. |

I use a track called "Guided Meditation" by Kelly Howell. I downloaded it off of iTunes, though you may be able to find it free online somewhere. I just lay back and put my ear buds in and relax. The track is about 30 minutes long and uses special sounds that are said to affect your brain waves, and Howell instructs you and uses visualization techniques. I find it to be very fulfilling; I too deal with lots of stress and anxiety. |
