I think that lack of sleep is because of habituation. If you have slept 3 weeks 4-5 hours and the last day of the month you wanted to sleep 8 hours, you might sleep 8 hours, but its likely that you will sleep 4-5 hours because of the habituation. The longer it has been like that, the most likely you will sleep those ammount of hours even if you wanted to sleep more. This is not determinism however, since you in fact can change that, but maybe not out of expectation but by some other action. Try not sleeping 8 hours a day but instead try something like 6 hours. Then when you feel confortable try adding one more hour. That way you will make progress and eventually reach what you aimed for. |
