for all of us insomniacs who sleep so little, our dreaming time is cut down and its a bummer on dreaming in general! not to mention, virtually impossible to wild since we dont have enough hours of sleep to try one!

      *echoes*

am I alone in this vaaain?

lets talk about our sleeping habits and dreams and see if we can help eachother get more sleep everynight to increase the chances of dreaming!

I am not a full insomniac BUT on occasions I can lose sleep for days. Anyway, I don't think 'our' dreaming time is cut down at all - because in dreams time can bend!

I am an insomniac as well, though Melatonin has proved helpful, I don't want to become dependant.

Sign me up; I'm not as bad of an insomniac as I USED to be, but boy... sleeping is still a challenge... I think the only way to make a viable WILD attempt is through sleep deprivation, which is not very fun.

Does being kept awake by loud drunken housemates count as insomniacing? If so, then count me in the club

count me in. When i lived in calgary I lived in a basement. The guys on the top floor partied every night. And due the thin layer of my ceiling and their floor. I got to find out all about their sex lives. a few times, as soon i was about to drift off, i hear this *Thump thump thump.*

You can definitely sign me up for the club. Though I usually get a decent amount of sleep at night, it usually takes about 2-3 hours to get to sleep, and if I wake up an hour or 2 before I usually do, I cannot get back to sleep at all. I constantly have those annoying nights where I wake up and go back to sleep every 15 minutes (which, strangely enough is very helpful for LDing b/c it induces a lot of FAs) and every day I feel like I am asleep standing up. It really sucks.

I want in!!! I have had a bad case of not being able to sleep since going to Iraq the first time! I just bought some melatonin today. Hopefully it works. I know I have enough self control to not become dependant on it, but im hoping it puts me down the right path to a more restful night!

Well, has anybody here had any luck fixing their insomnia? I'm having a hard time still; insomnia sucks enough as it is, and it doesn't help when trying to remember dreams either! (no sleep, no dream, eh?) Melatonin doesn't seem to work for me, so maybe something else is wrong?

BTW, I am now president (dictator) of this club of insomniacs! MUHAHAHAHAH!!!

My Dad & I share this weird thing, maybe more people too. You're laying there NOT sleeping & suddenly you remember a dream you just had... while not sleeping. (OK I know, it's just that sometimes you sleep and you don't know you've slept) just feels weird is all.

I've had that! It's really hard to explain, though. It's like I've been "thinking" about something, but not actually dreaming. In fact, that's how most dreams feel for me, like I've not actually dreamt them, but just "thought" I've dreamt them.

      Woah, trippy man...

word, just go work out or run. Most insomniacs problems are due to not getting enough exercise
