I am not very good at visualizing things. When I close my eyes, basically all I see is black, with random blobs of faint colour, even when trying to visualize things. Ocationally, I can make myself see movements, or eyes, but they are still not very clear at all. Sometimes I kind of see things, but they are more like me imagining visualizing things than actually visualizing them, if you understand what I mean. On another thread, someone said that they used to be like that, but now they can visualize things as clear as reality. I didn't even know that was possible. For people who can do that, can you just close your eyes, and instantly visualize things? Or do you have to concentrate on it for a while? How can I improve my skill (or lack of skill) in visualizing things? |

"Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people"
To me it's not necesarily "looking" at something as you would with eyes open but "seeing" something, just knowing its there and seeing it with the mind. |

Things are not as they seem
So I take it your not supposed to stare at the blackness overlayed with pulses of dots that one sees when you close your eyes, but try to "see" with your mind instead. Kind of like how when I read a book in my dreams I never look at the pages but still "know" what it says? |

I didn't know you were supposed to actually see it either.. |
