Sleep paralysis that scared the hell out of me

I just joined this website.. First post - Sorry if I sound like a noob!
A couple months ago I had a dream that really freaked me out.
I don't recall what I was dreaming of before this little shift happend, but I know I was asleep.
All of a sudden, I "woke up". And I WAS awake - However I was paralyzed, I couldn't move an inch. Beside my bed, maybe a foot away from me, was two big bins filled with just, random junk that I had neglected to get rid of. I didn't think much of it. But when I opened my eyes (the only part of me I could move), there was a man there. His back was facing me at first, but when I glimpsed his face there was nothing there. He was trying to pull or open these bins beside my bed, and my heart started pounding - Who was this guy, and why on earth was he in my house? When I tried to move or yell out, nothing would happen, I couldn't move no matter how hard I willed myself to. The man turned to me, and just stood there. I tried to scream again, and nothing would come out, just weak, soundless breaths of air. After a while I managed to let out a little whimper, which broke me out of the paralysis. The man vanished and I flipped over and hid under the covers. D:
As I said, I don't know what this was all about, but I know I was at least partially awake. Anyone ever have an experience like this before?

Well, once when i was a small child this sort of thing happened to me. I was in my bed, and i could hear noises that sounded like footsteps. They got louder and quicker, i couldn't move, but i didn't really want to. To sum it all up it was followed by the noises fading away, and me staying up the rest of the night after i was able to move. It is truly freaky stuff, try to set a schedule for you to wake up and go to sleep, and also have a very loud and annoying alarm clock.

I think it was so scary because at the time you didn't know it was SP and though you were being haunted or something

When I was younger I remember waking up in sleep paralysis, I was fully awake and panicked when I realized I couldn't move.

Let me tell you about one I experienced.

I woke up and opened my eyes after just a few hours of sleep to find myself looking at my wife laying on her side in bed facing me. Slowly her eyes began to open and she stared straight at me with her eyes starting to do something jerky and weird that's best demonstrated by this video.

That's taken from Silent Hill 4. But wait, it gets better.

Her hair became impossibly long and began to crawl up the wall that her back was up against. Now, at this point, I knew I was dealing with HI so I closed my eyes and began to calm myself down. I then opened my eyes again to find her eyes closed and hair back to normal, but this time she was laying with her hand in front of her face with her palm facing me. I began to study her palm just to find that a crease in her hand begin to split open to find ANOTHER FREAKIN' EYE STARING AT ME! I thought it be best at this point to give up and just go play some video games.

LOL that's awesome. I personally experienced SP only once but it was cool
