What I mean is, I may need to save this message in case the situation gets worse and I need evidence. (Long story.) I guess I'll just have to keep it on my phone.

You could replay the phone's message into your computer's microphone. That would probably be the easiest solution.

Pretty much yeah. Technically you could device a jackstick for the telefon and put that into the line-in on your soundcard, but just go with the microphone solution. Put your mic on a cable, lay the phone next to it, then play the message and touch nothing, so you don't make too much noise. Try to record it away from your computer to avoid noise from the fans and harddrive.

I thought of that, but even with speaker phone and full volume I'm not sure it will record loud enough. (I have a laptop, though, so fans shouldn't be much of an issue. It's a lot quieter than a desktop.)

Just try it. If it isn't loud enough, just turn up the volume with some software, like audacity.

Or record the message with a video camera (or camera with a video function) and upload it to the computer.

Since I can't find my microphone, I'll just record it to my MP3 player.
