      WILD with no WBTB

I acheieved one of my goals (i think) a couple nights ago. I stayed up until 5am, took 3 sleeping pills, and wilded. but one thing im not sure about...All i remember is going to bed...and then all of a sudden (no SP or any warning) i find myself sitting up in bed? of course i instantly knew i was dreaming because i remember i had just gone to bed. but! i didnt have to stabilize the dream at all? like normally when i realize im dreaming my dream will immediately start to fall apart. but this time it didnt... i didnt have to stabilize it at all... is that normal for WILD's? Also, how can i be sure it wasnt just a DILD if i didnt experience SP? all i remember is not being able to feel my body anymore. I lost all perception of laying in my bed.

I think it's in my basement... let me go upstairs and check.

Sounds normal to me. My lucids often start with being very stable, very clear, and with me in full control, and the only time stabilization becomes an issue is after it's been going for several minutes.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

If a man believes his dream is his reality when he wakes up is this now his dream or does he believe he hadn't been dreaming at all?

What kind of sleeping pills did you take? I ask out of curiosity, I had thought that sleeping pills made it more difficult to lucid dream.

It's the exact opposite for me.

When I was taking Ambien regularly I would have the most terrific, haunting and strange dreams imaginable. And it seemed like they would never cease. They went on all night it seemed; to the point of being a nuisance.

Um, just Tylenol Pm. I find that my dreams are easier to remember when i take sleep aids. I always thought it was because it puts you in a deep sleep.
