Please answer my questions about WILD's!

So these last two mornings have been crazy. i had to get up early at about 530 after going to bed at about 11. my boyfriend had to go to work both mornings so i had to head home. so once i got there id watch tv on the couch for about an hour and then at about 7 get comfy to fall asleep cause i was insanely tired.

the first morning i just layed there and slowly felt myelf falling asleep then suddenly i was staring at the tv laying on a different section of the couch... then i realized the tv was floating a few feet in front of me, then i realized i was dreaming! but then everything starts fading so i try to think of how to bring it back... but then say whatever cause i was just tired. but then it comes back but the tv is gone. so i decide to try to get up to explore but moving seems so difficult because i can still feel my real body against the couch (weird). so as im walking i rub my hands together because ive read this helps stablize things. it got a little better but everything still felt shakey. so im heading to the kitchen and i see OJ haha. this because i know im sleeping with my mouth open so my mouth is dry. i pick it up kinda skeptical if there will be any and there isnt... its empty and dry! then suddenly i feel myself wake up on the couch and my mom and my sister come downstairs but i just try to keep sleeping and roll back to where i was. then i feel myself wake up again! that time for real!

the 2nd morning same thing.. but when i went felt myself falling asleep there was a moment when i felt my arms drift into the air and i felt like i lifted off the couch... crazy feeling! i thought it was really happening but then i thought it might be normal. then again i was on the couch opening my eyes and i knew i was dreaming.. so i tried to get up but it was SO hard. i struggled and then tried to look and the clock to RC and i couldnt read it... everything was out of focus! then im waking up again looking at the couch.. but i KNOW it was a false awakening becase the out of focusness... so i try to get up and this time i barely get off the couch.. then i wake up for real.

      SO QUESTIONS

is it normal for the dream to feel kinda shakey?... everything just seems out of focus to me when im aware that im dreaming. and is there a way i can focus things?

is it normal for it to be so hard to move?

why are the WILD's so short and why do i have false awakenings? is there a way to make them longer?

and both times i was on my couch... do the WILD's start at where you really are just becaue of your awareness?

last... the OJ, was it not in there because i was skeptical. do i really have to believe for things to happen?

      I'd apprecaite your answers! thanks

For the stabilization I would suggest rubbing your hands together touching other things around your dream oh and forget about your REAL BODY focus on your dream body as for the other questions you should ask a veteran DV member here so well that's all I got......... Awkward.....

If a man believes his dream is his reality when he wakes up is this now his dream or does he believe he hadn't been dreaming at all?

A dream is what u believe it will be. If you think it will be shakey it will be. If you know its going to be stable is usually will be. Some help for stabalizeing and clarity are shouting clarity, using ur senses, and not panicking when u realize its a dream.

It usually is hard to focus when you're new to LDing. It'll get better with experience.

Dreams are always different, you might not have the same problem the next time. I think it's because you somehow believe it to be different to move, so it is.

why are the WILD's so short and why do i have false awakenings? is there a way to make them longer?

WILDs usually result in a fake awakening before becoming lucid. They're short because you're new to it. It'll get better with experience. Keep at it!

and both times i was on my couch... do the WILD's start at where you really are just becaue of your awareness?

      Usually, yes.

last... the OJ, was it not in there because i was skeptical. do i really have to believe for things to happen?

      Yes.

Next time you WILD and have a short dream and wake up (for real), try lying still and you will usually drift back into another dream (usually another false awakening). I usually have 3 or 4 short false awakenings during a WILD before I finally get to a longer more stable dream.

I have had that experience of it being extremely hard to move too! I never see anyone talk about it on here but it used to happen to me a lot. I really don't know what to do about it...it just happened for a couple weeks then went away. The only thing I could suggest is going into it KNOWING that you'll be able to move perfectly well. I feel like if it happened once where it was hard to move, you might expect it in future lucid dreams thus making it happen.

I've had some lucids where I couldn't move either. It's like you keep getting sucked back into your sleeping position. I made a thread about it a longgggg time ago. It was kind of cool because I tried to open my eyes so hard in the dream, that my eyes in real life opened. The crazy shit is, I didn't wake up right away, so I was basically dreaming but seeing what my real life eyes were looking at. It's kind of hard to explain.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.
