      I created my own REM!?

Okay, so sometime this morning I woke up right after a dream. The phone had rang but I didn't pick it up. I didn't feel like waiting for a WILD or DEILD, so I just started moving my eyes all around pretty quickly (based on videos I've seen of people in REM). After a very short amount of time I heard a buzzing noise and a dog barking. The barking stopped and then I heard slamming doors. After seriously 30 seconds I got up and I was in a dream. The thing about this dream is that I couldn't do anything. I tried turning to my left and my vision kept skipping, like there was a boundary. The same thing happened when I turned to the right. I didn't think I was dreaming, so I did an RC. I looked at the clock multiple times and it didn't change. That was extremely odd to me, so I did one more. Since I was standing in front of my Television I started changing the inputs. I noticed that each input had a different Call of Duty game on it. Input 2 had MW, Input 1 had MW2, and Component 1 had WaW. There was my confirmation that I was %100 dreaming. Right when I realized this completely I woke up in my bed.

I decided to post this for very open discussion because it is something I've never experienced or read about before. I need to know if other people will try this, research it, because I'm amazed.

I don't think you began the rapid eye movement yourself.
A easy way to WILD is to shift your focus inwardly rather than externally. You can do this by counting breaths or something. I think that you was focussing on the eye movements which allowed your body to fall asleep.

Okay, that makes good sense. Thanks for the quick reply, Mrdeano.

And I've read advice that keeping your eyes as still as possible is the fastest way into a wild. Huh. maybe WILDING doesn't need to be so stiff after all.
