Thread: Can you go straight into a WILD from a waking state?

ok so i know the basic theory around a WILD, you attempt to wake up before your next REM cycle and try to transition your waking mind into the dreamstate, but what I'm wondering is if when you go to bed if you can make that same transition into your first REM cycle, rather than having to wake up and try and interject into a later REM cycle. Hope i made sense and you can help me, thanks!!!
