Tried WILD, but couldn't get into SP. Did I give up too easy?

Last night after about 6 hours of sleep, I woke up using auto-suggestion and decided to try and WILD for the first time. I was very relaxed and comfortable and starting counting my breaths. After I got up to about 240 breaths, I heard a small humming sound and saw a red blob go past my eyes. This is it though. My heart rate went up, but I kept counting.

I gave up at around 300 breaths. I never saw/heard anything else, and NEVER got into SP. I remember feeling the "roll over" signal a few times, but the last time I felt the signal I gave up.

Did I give up too easily? Any advice on entering SP? Thanks

You could say that. But I don't think that is the issue. You need to focus on something other than your body, that is why I think your heart rate is increasing.

Also, don't expect anything to happen, ever. Don't assume you know what the sensation you are feeling is. Just go with it and see where it takes you.

Hmm...once you got that buzzing/humming and saw the HI, I would stop the breathe counting and let the HI/HH takeover. Just relax and let the process play out. Once you get that far, your counting has done its job in my opinion. You were very close, just keep practicing and you will get the hang of it!
