Aahh... struggling to "roll" into WILDs

So I've been on and off interested in a lucid dreaming for about a year now...
So far I have had many successful DILDs, and am still trying to enter a WILD.
I have been able to enter sleep paralysis. However, *usually* when I enter SP I'm half asleep so I'm not fully conscious. And, most of my attempts to enter SP were accidental, waking up in the middle of the night and remaining still. Or as I'm drifting off into sleep- this is usually when I'm not very conscious at all, but when I enter SP I become more conscious, if that makes any sense. Also, I've never been able to enter SP before I've tried. To get to my point, I have been able to enter SP but not much farther, and most of my SP experiences were mildly conscious, and by the time I enter a dream (if I can), the dream isn't even lucid. Several times I have had a false awakening. These experiences are not very vivid, no more than a random fleeting dream fragment. I've heard people say "oh, to enter a WILD from SP, you can 'roll' out into the dream". I managed to do this once, but once I rolled off and entered the dream, it was a false awakening. SO, how can I enter WILDs with a larger level of "consciousness" i guess? So far from the DILDs I've had, I've had most of them a very low level of consciousness with only about 2 with a very high level of consciousness that was close to full awareness.

Thoughts? If that made any sense

This may just be me, but personally... I don't "roll" at all. From sleep paralysis I just imagine a scene and the dream begins from that scene. I'd advise you to just think of something, visualizing for a few good seconds... this may take you into a dream.

But then again it may be different for everyone; hope this helps.

Once I get into SP, I just allow the HI/HH to do all the hard work for me. I just chill and continue to relax as the HH/HI does its thing. Eventually, a dream scene slowly forms, on its own, around me and I simply stand up and carry on with my dream. I have heard of rolling into the dream, but by that time...you could just wait a few more moments and stand up in the dream.
