      *sigh*

Trying to WILD just 30 mins ago during a nap coz I haven't had an LD for a while now and I'm rather agitated today due to a stone in my sublingual salivary gland which is irritating me to no end. Was in SP for about fucking 40 minutes.
I can never seem to focus on the imagery I'm getting.
I seem to always be half-focusing on my body as well. Especially when the adrenaline surges come on. How do you guys ignore the adrenaline?

This is making me so depressed.

Well, 40 minutes is entirely too long to be in SP. I think you are trying to do too much. Once SP comes, just allow it to do whatever it wants. All that is left for you to do is transition...aka fall asleep. Once SP sets in, just try to finish falling asleep. Act as if nothing unusual is happening and just continue falling asleep. Let the process do all the hard work for you. All you have to do is "submit to SP's will" in a sense.

Funny that you replied, I just read your WILD tutorial a little after writing this lol
That's what I try to do. Just keep falling asleep. But the adrenaline distracts me. Plus I think if I submit to SP and just fall asleep I won't be conscious once I start dreaming. Or are you usually conscious anyway?

Yeah, during SP, just act as if this is the 1,000,000th time you have been in it. Act as if nothing unusual is happening and you are Pro at WILDing. Submit to SP and use an anchor to keep your consciousness. I like to just passively observe all of the hallucinations. Keep this thought in the back of your mind, "I am WILDing and going to be lucid soon." Just know and don't forget what you are trying to achieve once you submit to SP.

Yeah, I have that problem a lot of the time as well. The times it works are when I actually let my concentration lapse a little just as SP comes on. I let go and fall. I sometimes actually just tell myself to fall asleep. True, this sometimes ends
up in me just becoming unconscious, but even if that happens it is sometimes only a momentary lapse and I have a DILD a moment or two into the dream.

But yes, I still sometimes lie there for a very long time with no success. Although I wouldn't say I have ever been in SP the entire time, just dipped in and out of it for a while.

Yeah, you kind of have to "tip-toe" the line between consciousness and unconsciousness. This makes it super easy to have a successful WILD once you get into SP. It is something that just takes some practice and experience. Just keep working at it.

      Thanks Yoshi!
Yeah I think I was pretty much doing what you said to do. Or at least trying.
      Just gotta keep practicing.

And thank you perlin as well! Regarding SP time. I don't think I get SP the same as a lot of people,
I never get fully immobilised (unless I'm actually asleep, then I suppose I would be paralysed). But yeah it was basically going from weak to strong and vice versa
      every now and again.
