CAN-WILD success for any of you?

So I don't really like the WILD technique because I am always unmotivated in the morning and DILD is not working out ATM. So I came across the technique called the CAN-WILD. Are any of you guys using this effectively?

      Here's the original thread: http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/**craz...rial-**-87710/

The CAN stands for Custom Alarm Noise. Basically, you set an alarm to go off around the same time as you would for a WBTB ( 5 or 6 hours after you fall asleep ). But the alarm has to turn off by itself and it's only supposed to wake up your mind. So you exit a dream and you're automatically in SP. From there you can use any technique to enter a lucid dream from sleep paralysis.

I tried it a few months ago; it worked once and then I forgot all about the technique. But now that you reminded me, I think i'll start using it again.

      It's the same as DEILD.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

It's almost a 100% lucid dream if you do it correctly. All you have to do is record when you have dreams at night and then set your custom alarm right before that or right when it starts. Remember that it should only play for about 5 seconds and you shouldn't move. I tried this before I had a lucid dream and it made me too anxious I didn't know what to expect and was waiting for the sound all night, now that I've had them I'm going to try it again tonight. I think I still have the custom alarm program, I'll tell ya the results tomorrow.

I'm not really good at WILD but one night I was falling in and out of dreams and I didn't realize I woke up (I thought I was awake for a while) and I ended up with a WILD.
EDIT: Instant WILD* It literally took 15 - 20 seconds after SP which took a few seconds too (10 - 15) even less but I don't want to exaggerate

Thanks for the feedback guys, and YES it is DEILD but it's a technique on how to DEILD effectively. I think i'll try this with my ipod tonight.

Well I was too stoned to set up the alarm last night but I did try a dream exit. Apparently I was too stoned for that also I got into SP very easy after doing it though my brain just couldn't form a dream scene, I was in SP consciously for about 5 mins... After I couldn't get myself to visualize anything I just rolled over and said screw it. If I didn't smoke I probably would have had a lucid dream

So I tried it again tonight and it worked perfectly I just had a 15 minute lucid dream which is pretty good for me, will post in my dream journal.

Cool, i've been trying this technique lately but it seems the alarm I use is not loud enough. (I'm using an audio I made)
      I'll try again tonight.

I could never find a convenient and effective way to set a proper alarm and thus was never able to use this technique effectively. Theoretically, however, it should work well provided you've got the just the right amount of discipline and awareness on top of a working alarm, of course.
