Haha, I can only hope I have had some decent progress the last few nights, I'm now doing a combination of Free-falling, your technique and V-WILD. As in, rather than regain focus once the 'chaos' thoughts begin I just relax and let the thoughts develop into hypnagogia, like you I find that all the 'concentration' methods like focusing on your breathing just keep me from sleep. Once the hypnagogia gets going I visualise some tactile imagery and then I visualise walking around my room trying to include as many senses as possible.
As for the much needed V-WILD tutorial http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/how-vi...ctively-40861/ this is a fantastic but slightly overwhelming approach, but I think a lot of would-be WILDers could find it useful
