      Need help with WILD...again

Hey! I've been trying to WILD for a while now, but I never seem to actually step into the dream.

Here are some problems I can remember off the top of my head; I don't know what to do after Sleep Paralysis, do I open my eyes, do I try to move, do I just lie there?
Usually; after I'm "done" with SP I can feel my eyes going dry, because they tend to open up a little bit while SP is going on. What should I do? I read somewhere NOT to force your eyes shut, but if I don't they will open "automatically" and I'll end up seeing the roof of my bedroom.

I was also wondering if anyone would like to describe how it feels and what they do when they WILD as in depth as possible. Don't leave out a single detail, I'm the kind of person who needs to be spoon-fed in order to learn something.. Things like; after SP calms down, do you see all black, do you hear anything, do you feel anything?
Last night I think I almost WILDed, I was lying there counting my breaths suddenly SP kicked in, I've felt it a lot of times, so I'm usually calm now, suddenly I could hear birds! ......then my brother started talking to his friends over Skype, because it was Saturday and he tends to be awake all night playing video games :/

Another thing; is trying to WILD when going to bed a waste of time? I try to WBTB as often as I can, but I'm in college right now so I wont try during weekdays, and I usually get invited to parties during the weekend..which I have to admit I sometimes ditch, just so I can try to Lucid Dream.... Heh.. wow.

Hope someone can help me and describe WILD!

EDIT: Also, I've seen on the Android market that there are quite a lot of apps dedicated to help people lucid dream. Things such as Binural Beats and whatnot. Do these actually work? If so, I think I might just buy a headset that won't fall off my head while I am sleeping..

Try to pay attention to the hypnagogic imagery. The colors and shapes while in SP. You can use this to get into the dream. HIT - Hypnagogic Imagery Technique - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views there is the page for it
You can also, just visualize while in SP. Visualize a dream scene. Become immersed in it. Activate all of your senses. Most likely this will surround you and you will find yourself in the dream.

WILDing before is most likely a waste of time, yes. It's extremely hard to do. You aren't fully relaxed, your brain isn't in the right state, etc. That's why it's best to do it after sleep, your body is extremely relaxed due to resting, and your brain is in that sort of mode.

      Just keep on practicing
      From my rotting body,
      flowers shall grow
      and I am in them
      and that is eternity.

Hey there, I was going to answer your questions earlier but I was on my phone at school and it's a bitch to type out long things XD
When you try to get into SP, you should lay as still as you can. Just let your body and mind relax. If your mind is racing with thoughts, it's harder to get into SP (or so I find).
Usually; after I'm "done" with SP I can feel my eyes going dry, because they tend to open up a little bit while SP is going on. What should I do? I read somewhere NOT to force your eyes shut, but if I don't they will open "automatically" and I'll end up seeing the roof of my bedroom.
If you've read KingYoshi's tutorial on WILDing, you'll see he mentions reverse blinking (I'll link the tutorial below) This means instead of having your eyes open and then closing them to blink, keep your eyes closed and then blink your eyes open every say, 5-10 seconds. As your eyelids start to feel heavier, you can stop doing this.
As for me, when I WILD, I lay there as still as possible, using a relaxation/meditation technique. I either void meditate (clearing your mind of thoughts) or focal meditate on my breathing (just focus of my breathing). I usually almost get into sleep and get a stab of awareness just as i'm about to enter SP. As I enter SP, i feel strong waves of vibrations or loud tinnitus (the ringing in your ears). I don't usually get and HI or HH at all. If I don't go straight into the dream from there, I start to visualize outlines of the furniture of the room i'm trying to start my dream at. Or perhaps just imagine the sound of the ocean.
Erii kinda covered your next question, so I'll skip that
I've never tried any of the apps on the Android market. I downloaded one to calculate your REM periods, but I never got around to using it. If you find any of them useful, keep us updated!
Hope you found the above helpful XD

Ah, ok! Thanks both of you

By the way; I read one of the threads here on the forum called "Instant WILD" or something.

The OP mentioned "Listening in" and "Phantom Wiggling". What does that entail?

I think listening in means listening and concentrating on your tinnitus and phantom wiggling is something like moving your limbs or fingers without moving your actual body? You'll have to do a search on that, sorry >_<

read the thread I made this morning titled "shapeshifting into WILD (help for understanding transition). In the thread I talked about what I experience when WILD'ing and how I transition into the dream, and some of the mistakes I would make when I first started trying it. If after readin that you want even more in depth info about what I experience each step of the way, feel free to P.M. me
