Am I doing something wrong?

Last night, I had a (non-lucid) dream. I woke up in the dream (false awakening) and I was on my computer, when out of nowhere the dream fades and an extremely bright light is shining in my eyes. It dissipates, and I have body paralysis, and my whole room is spinning. It stops and I think that it's a perfect time to try a wild (It's about 5:30 AM) I lay back down and don't move. My position was that I was on my stomach, my right hand under my pillow, and my left hand was rubbing against my waist(I tried to move it away without re-positioning, but it kept sliding back down) . My legs weren't touching. About 5 minutes passes and a very odd, intense tingling sensation starts from my upper thigh, works up the torso, but stops halfway under my shoulders towards my hands(I assumed it was my body trying to paralyze again) The first time it happened, my heart was racing as I hadn't actually experienced this before. I tried to calm down, and managed to for the most part, until it would appear again(It never got below my thigh or past below the upper half of my shoulder). After about the 6th time it did it, I wasn't as excited as I was, but was eager to get past the stage of body paralysis (what I thought it was) It happened about 7-9 times in total. I gave up because I thought I was doing something wrong, and went back to sleep normally. So was I doing something wrong? Should I not be touching my self (not like that) at all when I try to WILD? Or was it because I was too excited, or anticipating the next stage?
