      cant get to sleep paralysis

i've been REALLY REALLY close before, but i cant seem to get through it. the closest i've been to full on sleep paralysis was when i was sleeping on my back, and i felt my entire body shake violently, almost to the point where it was tearing apart, and at the same time, free falling. I remained perfectly still through all of this, and i started to see some images in my eyelids, but then i had a really bad itch i had to scratch, which completely ruined everything.

for some reason, i havent been able to replicate this for a while, and its really annoying me (that was done at night btw, not a nap or anything). I've tried the WBTB method, but it doesnt seem to work. for some reason i just cant get to sleep paralysis. someone help?

Hi, KL31! I'm new here as well and, while I've had SP many times before, they were always AFTER I had woken up and not because I wanted to have them. Now that I actually want it to happen, I've also been having trouble getting there. Could you tell me more about your method? I've been reading a lot about it today and the concepts of not paying attention to your body, not trying to stay TOO aware and not thinking about what must happen/which stage you need to accomplish are rather simple to understand, but incredibly difficult to execute.

Anyway, I'm just a newbie, so I hope someone replies with a good answer. Good luck to us!

well, what i usually do is lay on my back on my bed, and stay perfectly still for as long as i can. after a while, it just becomes impossible for me to stay still. i have to move, which is probably one of the reasons i can't enter sleep paralysis. I dont think about anything, i just look at the randomly generated circular patters that move about, as if they were flashlights dragged across the insides of your eyelids. I see these all the time after my eyelids have been closed for 2-3 minutes. i stare at those. I really want to know how to induce that violent vibration and free falling sensation feeling again. When it happened, it happened so incredibly fast. like 10 minutes after i've closed my eyes.

Hmmm from what I've read here, you should probably try to relax before going to bed. As soon as you lie down, tense all your muscles (not all of them at the same time, start with your legs and go all the way up) and then relax them. I've also read that moving isn't bad, but for me, it is. I guess it depends on the person. Maybe you should try not focusing on those circular lights, they might be distracting you. Have you tried counting your breath?

Yeah I've had the same problem too ...

Usually I only get as close to feeling like I am constantly spinning in a circle, with MINOR vibrations.

      Welcome to the forum!
It defiantly will take longer then 5 minutes. You need to stay patient.

You might still be hitting sp without realizing it, the only real changes when I hit it, is I feel disconnected from my body, my breathing becomes clear, and i hear very faint sound hallucinations of people talking, so much that if I don't pay attention I don't hear them. The only thing that tells me im in SP, is that a few seconds later, my vision explodes into scenes and objects.
