      SP with eyes open

Hey there. I'm new to the forum but not new to the lucid dream subject (my aim here is actually Astral Projections).
I had very few experiences however.

Today I had an interesting experience, I had an SP on the morning (I wake up 4 hours after falling asleep and it was already daylight).

I kept like an hour with binaural beats to help out my concentration but I kind of couldn’t concentrate well because my irritated nose.

After sometime I decided to give up, and went to sleep. But I occasionally opened my eyes and I was totally paralyzed. I looked to my finger and couldn’t move it. I was pretty sure what I was seeing was the physical world; I was definitely with my eyes open but no movement at all. (unless my brain tricked me very well this time!)
I didn't freak out and took a deep breath and I returned. Then a few minutes it happened again, I let it go and slept.

      Any explanation?

      I'm not experienced in WILD.

I've never heard of having SP with your eyes open.. I guess it was just a hiccup?
      Sorry, I"m not really sure.

What do you need explained? It sounds like you woke up in SP and opened your eyes. It is possible to do this. When you open your eyes during SP you might see the world as it really is, or there might be hallucinations involved, or it might actually be a dream.

Yeah I always heard that SP would never allow you to open you eyes physically. after some research I found that could happen, or could be just my mind reproducing the world as it is when it's actually a dream.

I just wondered if that's something I should be aware of. If someone told me there's no way to have SP with eyes physically open, that would mean something.

The other week I had a dream that I woke up in my old bed ( I didn't realize it at the time.) I actually tried a WILD attempt in my dream. I had partially succeeded, but I woke back up to my old (dream) bed. I would have thought it was a legitimate WILD if I hadn't of done a reality check after I woke up! I was lucid for a few moments, then actually woke up.

Edit: I'm trying to get that you may have actually been already dreaming when you attempted the WILD.

Interesting one. I didn't notice anything unusual when I opened my eyes, but I will try to make some reality checks next time it happens. It appeared it happens quite easily.
