These (WILDS) are the only lucid dreams I seem to be able to attain

For some reason, the only way I have a lucid dream is from a wake initiated state that almost always involves SP first. Everyone seems to think that WILDS are more difficult than DILDS, but I very very rarely have had a DILD. Is this odd?

For some reason I rationalize way too much when I'm dreaming. For example, the other night I had a dream that all my teeth were falling out, so I said to myself, "this sucks - this kind of stuff only happens in my dreams, why is it suddenly happen to me now?" Still, I didn't become lucid; it was very frustrating.

People find different techniques easier. Mostly DILD requires a lot of effort during the day (with RCs and ADA, etc) but if it works for you then go with it!

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

It's not odd. It just means, that you are good at WILDs. Congrats!

If you notice something strange in your dream (which is a good sign), but despite of that don't get lucid, adding some daytime awareness to your RCs and mantras should help.

Even if you good at WILDs, practicing for DILDs may give you plan B, just in case your WILD doesn't work out, you will have a second chance at lucid with DILD/MILD. Hope this helps

I'm sorry, what does RC and ADA mean isthisit? I'm still trying to learn the lingo associated with this stuff. Also, thanks isthisit and gab - I need to understand what a mantra is too - I still have a lot of work. I actually just had another WILD when I was taking a nap today (it was my day off so I took advantage). I tried the spinning technique to transport to another place and keep the dream going. It worked really well.
