Another lost soul ineed of help

Alright, I've WILD'ed once, it's been awhile and I was practicing for 2 months at the time.
now I'm at it again, I don't exactly remember the destinct method. just a simple lay back relax and float off. But I think I did a turn over and I felt sucked in, and my god I had some fun after that.

      Now... I'm practicing again.
but seem to be struggling immensely .
      here is what I do

Lie down on my back, comfort myself a bit.
blank my mind and feel my body, mentally tensing and relaxing.
when I do this I hear a ring, the more focused I get the more intense and loud the ring gets.
I wait some time, breathing and being aware of my body.
I don't know if this is sp or the start. usually strongest in my hands, they get heavy
but when I had moved them before it feels like the blood is gone,
I usually place my hands both one ontop of the other inbetween my chest and stomach ,
And I'm not sure if this is Hypnotic Hallucinations, but watching the back of my eyes I see very faint free floating random colors. like energy just playing around. and after some more concentration within, I see random objects, wacky/normal scenes of things going on with other people , ect.

but I can't seem to go much farther than this.
tips and some light on what I've experienced is greatly appreciated.

ps. how do I stop moving my eyes around when I watch a scene if thats what they are. I seem to look around without helping it.

You could always try and visualize a starting dream area. I heard that if you use all of your senses to visualize a dream at this point, that it will become a dream. From there, you're good!

      I'll try this tonight,
      Guess I'm somewhat confused.
when I first LD'ed, Most of what I remember is just, out of no where I get sucked into a tiny point in the middle of the back of my black eyelids.
and then WhAPaaAH, I was on a play ground, and the first thing I did was JUmp and started flying, some reason I knew immediately that I was dreaming

Yes, exactly. You're lucid and that's all that matters.

I don't think you can stop the REM in your sleep man. It's just your body's natural thing to do.

Oh, I see what you mean. Then I feel like I should just ignore it and make it as I've heard, a small autopilot process rather than focus. thanks

Like I said in your other thread, you need to WILD during a WBTB or a nap or it won't work. You might see something and if you do end up in a dream it'll be fuzzy and very unstable.

If you feel like you could move, it's unlikely to be SP. The sensations from (N1, N2 and N3) the phases before REM somewhat resemble SP, but are weak compared to it. SP occurs during REM, so that's why we rather focus on enjoying our LD at that point.

The stuff you mentioned seeing is Hypnagogic Hallucinations. If you intend to watch it for visualisation purposes, dont worry about the slight eye-movement. I wouldn't pay much attention to those if i were going for a regular WILD, though. Remember that it is propable, that each individual is different regarding most of the mental aspects of WILD.

When you learn the mindset, that balances your anchor against the gradual falling asleep through phases... you master WILD. From there it will mostly be smooth sailing. Until then, work on your mindset before WILD, so that you won't have to when WILDing.

      Best of Luck, Tucane

Naps and WBTBs are great for WILD, like Matte87 said.

I found WILD easy with WBTB.

I also found it easier to achieve when I would go back to sleep in the living room chair instead of my bed. That helped a lot and made awareness easier.

I'm not so sure, first LD I had was a WILD and I was practicing for weeks at that time. Just not quite sure exactly all I did. I just remember the basics.
I feel so close. I try to WILD every night. I always start making it through the first couple of Nrems, but it's getting to the 3rd that I struggle a bit every now and then. and the big transition that you were talking about, I'm trying to find my anchors ( might be HH or being aware of my body ) I've never fallen asleep when I'm active with these, I just need to cool down the concentration after a bit until I can feel what awareness I need to be at. thanks alot
If I see no progress after a few weeks I will definately succumb and try the many other techniques that I've heard, and the ones brought to my attention here.
