Post Stange experience..? What exactly would you consider this?

So last night I took a had a fantastically vivid dream, and after it was over, I awoke. It was around 2:30 AM, and I still felt tired physically, but my mind was relatively awake. I decided I would try to WILD, or atleast try to stay awake mentally while falling back asleep. I noticed that as I was becoming more tired, my limbs felt slightly more numb, but there was no tingling, etc. I kept repeating the mantra "I will be dreaming soon, I will notice when I start dreaming." Now.. the weird part begins, I felt in my mind, that I could feel with another set of arms. I had feeling, yet I could not see what I was touching, or much of anything else, but I felt another set of limbs that I was controlling. I felt the rest of my body go sort of numb, but then I felt a strange pain on my ankle, my legs were crossed and the ankle that had my other leg on top of it started to hurt. As I felt more connected to my other "limbs" or "body" I felt more intense pain in my ankle from the weight of my leg and I had to move. What happened? Was this the beginning of sleep paralysis, and entering a lucid dream?

Some people will most likely tell you, that sensation of having second body was a hypnogogic hallucination that you get before you fall asleep or enter lucid dream.

My opinion is, that the second body was your dream/astral body separating or already fully separated from your flesh and bone body. When this happens, you can will your body to move away from your bed, or try to stand up or roll out from bed. Again, people who believe that WILDs are same as OBEs or don't believe in OBEs will tell you that it was a WILD, but to me this is an OBE (out of body experience).

You still felt your regular body - the pain in the ankle, so separation was not complete yet, perhaps, because when fully separated, you don't feel your regular body at all, only your subtle body, as if it was normal body.

It was peculiar to say the least, I've never experienced anything like it before. I'm not sure what I want to believe about it. I don't entirely believe that it was the beginning of a dream, but I know that I didn't have the control to decide to roll myself out of bed to have an OBE. It must have been the beginning of one of them though, because it certainly was not a regular part of what I'm used to when I'm falling asleep.

It happened to me 2-3 times, when I was trying to WILD, or just after I gave up on the WILD attempt.

If you still feel both bodies, you can try and place your consciousness to the subtle body. As if you were trying to see your room from little bit higher up. Or think/will yourself higher, or to move. You are controlling it with your thoughts, not muscless.

Just stay calm, don't force anything, just imagine yourself little bit higher, or in the kitchen, or by the window...

Give yourself a chance to experience this with opened mind.

I must be an OBE guru then, because I can create and feel an 'astral' body at any time of the day by just closing my eyes and concentrating. Or perhaps the astral body is just the motor cortex running closed loops inside itself from lack of outside stimulus. Hmm.

      That's pretty crazy.

I'm going to see what happens tonight when I combine the MILD and WILD techniques again. Who knows what could happen? My dream recall has been getting exponentially better since I've been dream journaling. I used to remember 0-1 dreams a night, and usually only in fragments, now in a few hours of sleeping I can remember 2-3, usually in their entirety, sometimes more than that. I am loving the fact that I can remember my dreams now.

Agreed, dreams are awesome. Please post any question you may have. Happy dreams

Have you checked out this WILD (Sageous) tutorial? It's really long, but when you done with reading it, hopefully all your WILD questions will be answered.
