my first WILD! and an easy way to find your REM period (I think)

so i woke up last night (dont know why) and i didnt move at all about ten seconds later i felt tingleing feeling go up my legs then random talking. next thing i know im in my room and their a vortex of stars in my window and i flew in to it and boom im in a dream with people. (i think one of them was my dad)

ok so i was thinking after each REM period you wakeup for a few seconds (you normally never remember) then you go back to sleep, but if you drink lots of water yourbody wakes you up to releive your self, if you look at the time go back 30 or 45 minutes you will be in the begining of your REM period if you set your alarm at that time the next day.

I also have a few questions about my dream. I barley remember much from my wild dont remember hearing any thing or feeling any thing. Is this because i didnt stabilize? like rub my hands together or yell out loud, do you rememer touch or sound because you do that?

What you did wasn't WILD but DEILD. Here's a guide for it; http://www.dreamviews.com/f49/yuppie...-lucid-dream-1 And about waking up during your rem period. You could also use a mantra for that. If I say: "I'm going to wake up after every dream tonight" I usually wake up 2-5 times every night

I can see you sleep through your bedroom window. You're killing yourself with lucid dreaming.

It was a WILD. But If you woke up from a dream, then didn't move and entered this lucid, than it was a DEILD. Either way, congrats!

Yup, drinking water each time you wake up is one of the methods either for WBTB, WILD, or to write your dreams down. Good job figuring it out!

If you don't remember senses from dream, that's probably because you don't really pey attention to them in your waking life. I mean, who really pays attention how things feel or sound? I'm typing right now, but not really noticing how it feels. Can hear trafic from the street but lose track of it constantly - why would I pay attention to it, I just tune it out.

So if you go through your life like most of us - as if we were on auto-pilot, that's how our lucid dreams will be like. Just going through them without really experiencing them, without really 'being there'.

Best thing I could recommend is practice daytime awareness. Where you pay attention to what you doing and to your surroundings, to the sights and sounds and tactile input.

      ADA
      WILD(sageous) Awareness

I have also never felt anything in my dreams before. So during day, I practiced. I pretended I just got lucid and started to stabilize by rubbing and clapping my hands, while paying attention to how it feels and sounds. Then I walked around slowly, while touching the wall and feeling the texture, how cold/warm it feels, touching the ground, nearby objects..., while looking at details. Then to much of my surprise I started doing this in my lucids.

Drinking water works for me. It is risky. I have a lot of dreams about peeing the bed. I've never actually done it, but I'm always afraid it might happen in that groggy, confused state.
