      Was I close??!??

i just tried to wild at 6pm and when i opened my eyes it was 7pm.. i was totally lost in it but i was still awake... i tried it on my chair this time. ok it took 10 minutes til my whole body went numb.. what i did was just try to stay still and not move a muscle... which i succeeded in for the entire hour.. but i never made it into SP or a LD... a lot of the time my body parts were jerking/spasming. and once i seen a mysterious blue face.... it was bobbing its head up and down very slowly.. looked a smurfs face.. i didnt pay attention to it til it was gone... was i close or way off track? and a lot of the time i kept getting unwanted thoughts... they just kept coming and coming i wanted to tell my thoughts to shut up. oh i also had a i-doser mp3 playing (lucid dream one) and i am not 100% sure but i think i heard a meow.... my cat has been missing for a week... when i was finished i went to check if he was back but no cat.... i wonder if it was just a hallucination

and near the middle the jerking was so intense literally my body parts were jerking non stop every second or so... like my feet jerks then my hand then my neck then hand then neck then foot etc it was kind of like i was vibrating it was so quick, but i dont think it was vibrations...

      Couple of things.

You will have hard time WILDing, if, at least untill you have more experience, you don't follow some tutorial. Later, you can adjust it so it fits you, but if you don't follow it when you starting out, you will never know if it works, or how far you got, because you started out wrong and possibly set yourself up for a failure.

It's like cooking a meal with a recipe. If you leave out some ingredients, or change the amout you use, and then you don't like what you made, you will never know what went wrong. Was the recipe wrong, would you have liked it if you made it as instructed, did your changes made it unedible?

      1. You don't need SP to WILD. Bunch of people never experience SP and they WILD. If you want to reach SP, please post your question in the thread that tells you that you need SP. I can't tell you how to reach SP, because you simply don't need it and you will not reach it, unless you get into SP easily when going to sleep normally (you have a disorder).
      SP explained

      2. You don't always experience vibrations.

How long do you sleep? You know, being lazy to sleep is really not the best attitute for LDing. You have to want this. If you don't care about dreaming or sleeping, you will have hard time.

How long were you awake before you attempted at 6pm? If for not too long, it could work as a nap. If you hear or see things, you could be close, and you could get lucky once or twice, but don't count on it, if you doing it without prior sleep or as a nap.
