      Clarify?

Okay, I will try to keep this short. To my understanding, in order to WILD, you must wake up just before or in REM sleep, and wake yourself up slightly. After you slightly awake (body still relaxed), go back to bed, lie still, and remain aware without focus by counting or using a mantra. Is this correct?

The bolded part is not correct. Although some people may do those things, it is certainly not required that you lie still, count, or use mantras.

You do not need to lie still. It may go faster if you don't move, but if you need to move, do so gently.

There is more to WILDing than just these aspects. Please read some good guide. I recommend WILD (sageous). It describes every step and mindset in great detail, so you will not only know what to do, but also why. Good luck
