Thanks for those tips, I made sure to read them before last night!
I ended up trying to WILD a lot later today. It must have been about 6 1/2-7 hours since I fell asleep. I didn't get any noise, nor felt as relaxed. However I did managed to get into a very weak WILD and stabilise it a few times after popping in and out. Somehow focusing on my own hands threw me off, but I managed to focus on other objects which helped. I think had this been earlier in the night it would have been much more successful. I'll try again tomorrow!
