Did I just WILD or enter deep meditation?

A few minutes ago, I felt a little tired, so I took a short rest. I was fully aware and slowed down my breathing. What happened next was kind of hard to determine if I had successfully WILDed or just entered a meditative state (which felt somewhat like an OBE). This all happened in the course of 5 or so minutes:

I closed my eyes, saw light imagery on my eyelids (barely visible), and it seemed like I was visualizing, but with the irregularities you normally see in dreams, such as buildings being out of place and things being wrong in general. I flipped on my TV, and out of nowhere, this random dude started doing standup. It didn't really make too much sense. Keep in mind, I was fully aware that I was laying in bed. I could feel myself laying there, resting, but at the same time, I was in another room.

So, was this a WILD? Am I on the right track?

The lights and images do sound like hypnagogic hallucinations that may precede lucid dream.

And when you put your TV on, that sounds like either more evolved HH, or a dream already. Next time, try to stand up or roll out. Or you could also try and enter the visual you have just by seeing yourself inside of it, or thinking something like "I am there". That last part works for me, but you may find your own way. good luck

Sounds like either vivid HH or might have been dream(It is possible to have waking body-like feeling in dream), i'd say if it was only a few seconds and was more of random snippet than anything then it's closer to HH, especially if you felt like it was more of visualizing, but possible on the verge of forming dream. So either way it's some progress!

It was pretty fluid like a dream, and was a full 5 minute whatever you want to call it without any interruptions. I was just super awake and aware the whole time. But you guys are right. It was probably HH. Next time, I'll try and anchor my fine senses into it and see what happens.

Listen to Gab. You will feel a strange "shift" or a sense of being sucked in when it happens. If you have trouble with images vaporizing when you look at them as they become real or get too excited, then try to just roll out at the last possible moment, or when you feel you can.
