      New with a WILD question

Hello. I'm new to this whole new world of dreaming and this website and I think its really cool what you guys do.

On the other hand, I have a WILD question. Ive been reading a lot about it and have attempted it a few times with not much success. On my latest attempt. My heart rate shot through the roof. I tried to calm myself down, not knowing why It was beating so much, and I started to feel numb at the same time, then it just went away. Any help?

      Hey there, welcome to DreamViews.

The fast heartbeat sensations are pretty normal, as well as the numbness. They are all normal parts of your body falling asleep, it's just that this time, you're awake enough to notice them. Of course your mind might shift into survival/instinct mode and it'll make you feel scared and all, and that intensifies the sensations even more. Just try to relax and remember that your goal is for your body to fall asleep, and that you will enter the dream. Do not focus on the sensations, instead, focus on the dream you want—visualize or do mantras in your head

Check out: http://www.dreamviews.com/wild/13150...g-sageous.html for in-depth lessons on WILD (I recommend reading through it if you want to learn to WILD) or you could also check out WILD subforum.

      Good luck!

      gab and Checker666 like this.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Exactly what paigeyemps said. As we get close to falling asleep, our heartrate and also breathing may speed up. It's normal, happens every time, only when we WILD, we are awake still to notice it.

Please check out the tutorials paigeyemps linked you, they come highly recommended.

And to add, fast heartbeat alternatively can be a form of hypnagogic hallucination, considering that you were reading alot about WILD you probably did read about similar experiences and that could have added up to the process.
