Im confused on how to do WILD

When it says your body has to fall asleep, what feelings occur with that?Pins and needles
Whenever I cant feel anything I assume my body's asleep, but thats not working.

Can anyone tell me in depth on what happens when you WILD?

Pins and needles are when you cut off blodflow because you lay on your hand or something. That's not what falling asleep feels like. You may feel relaxed when falling asleep consioussly. But yu shouldn't pay attention to the physical sensations. Your body knows how to do it, let it do it. All you have to do is fall asleep as you did so many times before. I bet you were not directing your body then what to do and how. Only difference when you WILD is, that you will keep your mind aware. That's done by mantras.

If you never had a LD before, it is recommended to start with DILD. If you jump straight into WILD without learning the basics that DILD teaches, or without reading some detailed WILD guide, you may have a long road ahead of you. Happy dreams

What gab said, also feeling of falling asleep varies from person to person and sometimes can be different at different days and feel differently depending on awareness level, either way if it's physical sensations then it's not something to focus on.

It's all just theories really you wont fully understand the WILD process until you have reference experience of it yourself.

Here is my view of the WILD: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...s-daytime.html

I like this because it put all my focus away from the physical body, relaxation, REM, etc. And all I need to do is to focus on the dream world, literally.

And the meaning of "body asleep" for me is just that you are no longer focusing on it and instead is totally focused on something non-physical.

Don't take any of this as fact, it's just MY experience of it.

      But hopefully it motivates you.

In my experience, WILDing is something you need to kind of figure out along the way. People's general experiences of WILD make up the majority of tutorials, but I've only had success trying various methods until I found the combination of events that yielded the most success.

My method may or may not help you. What I do is, as I fall asleep, I periodically remind myself to check if I'm still awake and if anything about my sleep state has changed. Many times, but not always, I will suddenly remember my resolution to keep checking, and I'll have discovered myself in sleep paralysis. Your mileage may vary.

My personal method of WILDing is to wake up six hours after I initially fall asleep, stay up for half an hour, then go back to sleep and deliberately empty my mind. It isn't long before thoughts start forming by themselves and I get "drawn" into them ready to have an hour and a bit of omnipotence. That's just how I do it and, as many have said, everyone's experience is different. One thing to remember though: don't try to WILD immediately upon hitting the hay. You'd have to be very skilled to do that.
