      Extremely uncomfortable during WILD attempt

Does anyone else experience very uncomfortable feelings during WILD?

I often feel like I'm either suffocating or about to stroke out or something very uncomfortable that prohibits me from going forward. Also I get the impression that everything "starts going fast", I can't really describe it well, but like my heart rate goes up and everything. Whenever I experience this, I don't feel too apt to go forward with things, and I "back out" into regular sleep.

everyone experiences rem atonia differently. best thing to do is to either ignore it or, if its getting to much, move to a different position and resume where you left off.

I may feel my heart speeding up and also my breathing. Those could be signs of getting very close to a dream, so if you can ignore it and continue, it shouldn't be much longer from there.

Sometimes the heart rate could be also just a feeling and not happening for real. Someone explained it that it's the heart chakra activated. But I'm not sure about that, althought it could be true.

The main thing is, if you can, ignore any physical sensation, as that just keeps you in the physical, when you want to go into the non-physical world.

And there may be other physical sensations, as feeling of flying very fast, falling or floating - those should also be just observed passively. Hope this helps.

In order to learn, improve or progress in the moust efficient kind of way possible a good mindset is to treat EVERY experience as if it was a lesson given to you.

It doesn't matter if it's a successful or unsuccessful attempt, because with this mindset there is always an oppurtunity to learn.

The person that can do this the best is yourself because you are the one having the experiences and the lessons are meant for you.

But the person who is next to the best is the one who already have gone through the lesson and have the experience.

And in that case that is me , or any other member willing to help.

And the first most obvious lesson I can see hear is the one that gab already mentioned.

You are only focused on the physical body or physical senses and it is with these senses you get uncomfortable.

Here is my experience and thoughts about that: http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...ml#post2036947

The second obvious lesson is your fear of death:

It has a deeper meaning you probably don't need right now. But for the lucid dreaming practise in itself fear is an important feeling to control.
Because dreams are an experience of yourself and if you can't control your fear, you can't fully control the dream.
Don't worry about that for now it's a later issue, but remember this lesson in the future when it feels relevant.

Good luck and remember that your whole life is just one big lesson.
