To add, if you have time, try napping. Naps are golden for lucid dreaming and can work nicely for WILDing since one is often more aware during the nap and goes quickly into REM or sometimes even straight into REM.
Also WILD is not a waiting game, you don't need to think about time during attempt since that might make it harder to fall asleep, and WILD is about keeping awareness while falling asleep.
