      Question WILD question

Hello dreamviews,my name is Nadav and I am kinda new to this lucid dream subject, although I had 1 or 2 lucid dreams before.(luck,i just noticed i was in a dream)
So I want to try this WILD thing,I have read about it and it seems interesting.I tried it this noon and what happened to me is after some time I started seeing instead of pitch black(what you see when you close your eyes) it changed into white and weird stuff.I had a problem with it,the problem was that I felt each like 10-15 seconds that my eyes were about to open but I resisted it.After a few minutes of this I started to feel like my body was falling or moving like im floating in the ocean. After a few minutes instead of the white and weird stuff(dont know how to call it) I started seeing black again so I thought I failed and gave up. Is all this normal ? How does all this work ? How do I know when I got into a lucid dream ? This night I will try to have alarm clock 5 hours after I fall asleep and go right back to sleep, hoping the have better results. Help me please
By the way,I have a fan in my room, and it makes noticeable sound. When I will fall asleep, will I still be able to hear it ?

It sounds like you thought about the sensations and that brought too much of your waking thoughts into it

You need to stay aware but not think about much. Also remember that you actually need to fall asleep.

You should feel about like you say you did. However, at that point try not to focus your attention on what you experience. Just relax, and use "an anchor" to maintain some, but little awareness. An anchor is something like repeating just a few words in you rmind over and over, or counting to 10 over and over (but do not focus on keeping track). They are ways to be sure your mind is not asleep, without thinking too much. Your body will freak if it finds itself starting to sleep and you still actively thinking. You are kind of trying to sneak your mind past the gateway to sleep.
If you reach a point when weird feelings, sounds, and visuals are taking place,AND you almost can not feel your body, then you are doing it right. With luck a dream will form. If you get good at this, then you can cause a dreamto form, but try just lucking into one, until you get the basics down. You must wait until you are very much asleep, before trying to cause one to form or you may wake yourself. So, just tryto luck into one a few times. Even if you do not get to a dream, the whole experience of being aware while asleep is pretty interesting.

The most important advice about WILD is never think about your real life issues. Never think about work or homework and so on.
Peace Be With You. Oh, and sure, The Force too, why not.
