      My First WILD Attempt

So last night I tried to WILD. I woke up on my own about 5 hours after I went to sleep, so an alarm was not necessary (very nice, hope it happens again) and stayed up for about 10-15 minutes. I then let my arms and legs go numbish/extremely relaxed/not moving and it felt really good. I closed my eyes and tried to focus just slightly on any fleeting images in my mind's eye. I remember seeing this one perking lot outside of a loading bay after a while of grayness and shapes, so I decided to add detail to it. I kept adding detail and I heard some voices (I really don't know if that's supposed to happen) but I still felt my body IWL and heard sounds around me (will try a more ambient place tonight). Eventually it just collapsed and I felt disappointed. I woke up and went into a very satisfying non-LD for the rest of the night. Any feedback for tonight, like maybe a good time to go to sleep? (I usually wake up at 3:30-4:30 AM, if that helps) And another couple of questions that I have are that am I able to try to induce a DILD before my WILD attempt, and also do you think I can actually have a lucid dream soon? Or will it take months of practice, even though I've been RCing and such for a while (trying DILDs) Thanks in advance! ;D

For your first WILD attempt, I think you did very well! It took me a VERY, VERY long time to get where you are. Once you've gotten the feeling though, it's easier to get back into it and do it again. As for times to go to sleep, that's subjective. The longer you're up, the harder it'll be to get up to do a WILD. IMO, the best time to go to sleep is when you start to feel tired.

Now, when it comes to DILDing, I'm no expert, so don't take my word on this. You should be able to do a DILD before you do a WILD attempt, but it's not something I've ever had success with. Having more than 1 ld in a week is hard for me, let alone 2 in one night. If you're keeping up with your RCs than I'd say go for it.

I'm not going to add an LD count because I sort of don't keep count. I've had about 2-3 WILDs... i think and one or two DILDS.
