      Burning up/ problems in general

Just wondering if anyone gets an intense burning or hot sensation when trying to wild? Last night I attempted to wild again but failed because it felt like my body was on fire not to mention my heart was beating so fast. I tried to remain calm by saying mantras( I guess that's what they are called) and it helped for a short while but then rush would come over me. I think the hh's are so intense. I really enjoy the process for the most part I don't even mind the noises I find them interesting but how do I get over the hot sensation? Please if anyone has advice I would appreciate it. I hope I am not alone in this. Also this is a side note but sometimes I see really interesting images and want to stay on them but they disappear pretty quickly, should I let them go? Again any tips would be appreciated

The heat, like you said, sounds like a hypnagogic hallucination, the heart beating fast I think (don't quote me on this--I vaguely remember reading this from somewhere, can't remember where) is a natural thing that happens as you're falling asleep and isn't from being scared or anything of the like, so you don't have to worry about this. I haven't had the heat problem myself, but I want to ask, have you tried taking off blankets/clothes or turning on a fan before doing a WILD? If not, I recommend trying out the above, as your heat hallucination may be an exaggerated manifestation of a slightly warmer-than-usual environment. Mantras definitely help too, and also, try to fully expect that you'll feel cooler and will yourself to feel colder (like what you'd do in a lucid dream). You could also try ignoring the hallucination entirely--I've found this helps with some of my own HH problems--and think about other things; a good thing to do at this point is to plan or visualize what you're going to dream about. It distracts yourself from the hallucination, and helps you set in your mind what you're going to do in the dream whilst still awake, it's a win-win situation!

Also, I recommend trying not to force the hypnagogic imagery to come. Watch it passively, and it's okay if the images disappear or you don't see anything. Forcing them to come or focusing on them too much won't help, so just watch them idly until they begin to form into a dream.

Hey thanks so much for the advice! Ya I think I won't use any covers, it is really warm in my house right know cause it around -30 degrees Celsius outside and if I change the thermostat I will get in troubled xD so I will give it a go tonight, I try not to get discouraged even if I fail I guess the practice is getting me closer. I wonder if overtime and more practice these things won't affect me as much, I read that others don't even see HHs and it makes me kinda envy them. Regardless though I guess it is unique to the individual. Anyways I am babbling thanks again and hope to see ya around the forum
