Here's a tip that works for me. When I WILD, I try to just let my thoughts loose. Pay attention to what happens (imagery, sounds, feelings etc.) as a casual observer.
Try not to think of your real body in bed. If you do it sets you back a bit, but just get straight back to observing.
Then, as you get close, what seems to work for me is to sort of gently try to move your dream body. Imagine, (don't really move!), raising your arms or spinning gently, or swinging your legs.
If the timing is right you should find that triggers the dream scene - at least it has done for me.
One time I gently turned and then found myself falling and spinning down and down in a sort of mist, before I was falling from a height onto a house, a bit like Dorothy, but not with the house!
BUT, this subtle imagined body movement has to be quite casual and not forced. Quite difficult to get the balance right.
I think the movement thing somehow breaks you free from your real body, like an OBE, and confirms that you are dreaming.
