Question What do you focus on while WILDing?

Hey guys. I've yet to have a successful WILD but I'm getting very close. 50% of the time it seems I just lose focus and fall asleep, the other 50% I get pretty far but can't fully transition into the dream.

My question is, what do you guys personally use to focus on to stay aware during WILD attempts? I've tried counting, that usually doesn't work. I've tried repeating a mantra like "I am lucid dreaming" or something and even though I usually enter a dream I still haven't become lucid. Would it be a good idea to try visualizing your dream scene and focusing on that the entire time you're WILDing? What has worked for you guys?

      Thanks for reading

From reading these forums, visualization seems like a highly recommended thing to do in any technique!

For my is every time different becouse i chose action acording state and my mood.
Visualization is good but not every visualization and not in every time. For instatne if yoz try viszualization when try WILD before sleep ind do it too early and you visuslization is not to strong is cause more porblems than help. Its depent what you need and have and can do, if you need more lucididy , turn off physical sensation or create come "dream" sensation.

Try to visualize a romantic setting, specially with someone you like, that is, a real person. That's very easy not to fall asleep as your imagination keeps flowing effortlessly and then i usually get OBE sensations.
Check your memory, did any suprising event happpen ? does the present make sense ? visualize what you will do when lucid, and how. Reality check as reminder of your intention to lucid dream tonight. Sleep as good as you can; when going to sleep, relax and invite whatever comes with curiosity. Grab your dream journal immediately as you awake and write everything you can recall (if only when you wake up for good). Keep calm, positive and persistent, and don't forget to have fun along the way
