Yes; Your brain is still in "sleep mode" so long as you don't move. If you move, your brain will awaken. |

A lot of people might say that moving would ruin your chances of DEILDing successfully, but I don't know if that's necessarily true. For a long time before I ever joined dreamviews, I would have most of my lucid dreams from waking up then going pee then falling asleep and going straight into a lucid dream. |

^^ Same here. I've managed to extend the DEILD mindset and hang onto my last dream (and sleep) for a few minutes after waking and moving (including bathroom runs). I must add, though, that I am careful to keep my eyes closed -- or as closed as possible, if a walk to the bathroom is in order -- as this seems to help hold the mindset. That said, like AnotherDreamer, most of my successul DEILD's were of the "hold still" variety; that really is the best way to do it, because it's the best way to hold your body in physical sleep mode. |

I can only speak for myself here. Moving any at all and / or opening my eyes ruins my chance at a DEILD. If i move or get up to pee, I may or may not have an LD when going back to sleep, but it definitely would not be a DEILD. For me, not moving is a challenge with my back issues. I have conditioned myself over time to remember not to move and to resist the urge no matter how uncomfortable it is. I routinely have chains of DEILDs where I reenter the same dream multiple times. They are so overwelming some times that the process of entering the DEILD was better that he LD itself. I can be in a LD and do things that will typically wake me knowing that I can come right back after I awake. |

You can move your body as long as you don't move your mind, or something like that. |
