No. WILD can vary just like DILD. Other factors effect vividness. IMO no lucid is as vivid as life. Parts of it can be ultra-vivid, but many details will be missing. However, during the dream you may think it is even more vivid than life. WILD is no magical way to vividness.

Of course, life isn't as vivid as people think it is. Consider the fact that 99.9% of your visual field is completely blurry at any given instant, yet it doesn't appear so. Vividness is a construct of the mind. I've had WILDs that had sensory detail at least comparable to real life.

I have had both DILDs and WILDs that are amazing clear. Just as clear as real life. You will hear a lot of people say that WILD's are more vivid, but I think it more commonly accepted now that it is not the technique that produces vividness. Many people claim that the amount of awareness will increase vividness. I haven't found this to be true either. I have become mildly lucid in dreams that were already insanely vivid. If this is true, it might explain why WILD's could be more vivid since you are entering the dream with great awareness to begin with. However I have had WILD's that were not clear. I think it is related to brain chemistry, but not sure of the specifics (I am not sure if anyone is).
