Hi guys, I've decided I'm dedicating myself to the WILD method for the foreseeable future. I've learnt a few additional things about it the last few days and I feel like I'm getting closer.
However, when I tried today - and this has happened before too - I couldn't make it past the transition into sleep. As soon as my body (I think) reached sleep, a tingling spread over my entire body. My heart raced, and I think it was a physical reaction more than excitement. I say this because that too has happened before, and I made active efforts to stay calm this time, knowing what was coming. After this tingling and my heart racing (but no insane g forces etc like some people describe) I felt really awake, and I felt like nothing else would happen. I laid there for a bit longer and eventually rolled over and fell back asleep.
So my questions are as follows:
1. When successfully WILDing, is it common to feel wide awake after pulling it off?
2. Could that mean I was actually dreaming but dreaming about being in bed?
3. What is a good tentative method to test for a dream state without disrupting my WILD attempt if I'm not there yet?
4. How do I get past this transitional phase to start entering lucid dreams?
I feel like I'm so close. It feels like there's just something I'm missing, one thing keeping me from WILDing. Until I find it, I'll keep trying!
