1) It could that you had lost focus. Try and not let your mind wander, it is unfortunately a very easy thing to do.
2)It is different for everyone, and you just happen to be one of the people who hallucinate more in naps.
3)Well, that was bad wording actually, I think what you meant was, "how will I know that I am dreaming"
and the answer to that is, you can do some RCs. I know that there are some RCs which you don't need to move to do. And apparently you will feel the change, you will feel it somehow.
Now, the RC I would use if I had to stay still is quite hard to explain, but I will try.
I take it you have heard of the nose pinch RC? Pinch you nose, if you are breathing you know you are dreaming.
Well, you know if you sort of close up your pipes in your throat and you can't breath, like the same pipes that get closed up when you swallow. Well, close those pipes up and try to breath. Then it works the same way as the nose pinch RC.
Do you get what I mean? Only problem with that is, I don't actually know If that breaks SP when you are awake.
The only other RC I can think of that doesn't require you to move is that memory RC. But that is just too unreliable, especially in this case. So forget that one.
