I tried to WILD last night and I think it started to work, but it became absolutely unbearable and then an outside noise snapped me out of it. I'm not sure if I could have stayed with it until the end if that had not happened, or not. |

Of course you can do it. |

Spontaneous LDs: 2
DILD (DILD / MILD): 13 (3 / 10)
WILD (WILD / DEILD): 9 (7 / 2)
Total Lucid Dreams: 24 (2 of them were EPIC LDs!)
First Lucid Dream:23-07-2009
Last Lucid Dream:01-09-2011
The above posters are correct Bossbadger. What you experienced is commonplace when attempting WILD's. Relax, and remind yourself that your experiences are subject to the dreamer. That being you. Persist in your efforts and the transition process will become quite fun for you, as it is for me now. |

Things are not as they seem
I experience the same thing, and I've had problems with panic attacks during the buzzing phase, which is horrible. But I must say, it has gotten ten times easier the longer I keep doing it. Keep at it! |

I once laid down to rest and started going into SP, I started seeing scary images and hearing noises so it creeped me out and I terminated it. However I'll try again soon |

Keep trying. You can try a different type of mental excercise while you WILD. Try something that takes you away from your body. Visualize a dream scene or vivid memory. Try to use your senses in the visualization. Touch things, feel your body moving. This could help distract you from the weird sensations involved in falling asleep. |

Thanks for your replies, everyone! Glad to know it was all normal. |
