What Did I Do Wrong This Time?!?!

I know this is like the a millionth thread I've posted on this, but I honestly don't know what the hell is wrong with me!

Ok, so here it goes. I decided to have a nap and try having a WILD. I lay down, fell into SP in like a split second. I started visualizing walking up a continual set of stairs to get me into a trance. It worked well. Until, the SP vibrations hit me! That was perfectly fine. But after that, I don't know what the hell happened! I was numb as hell, but my mind was somehow magically awake now? I don't know how to describe it, but after reading about how you're supposed to wait till after the vibrations I did. But then I was suddenly awake again. I wasn't tranced. And I knew that I wasn't dreaming. I had no more HI either. I was just lying there. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN EVERY TIME?!?!?! I tried a few exiting techniques, but nothing happened. Eventually I just gave up.

This is so frustrating, what the hell am I doing wrong, can someone please help me?

Are you sure you instantly went into SP? SP usually onsets within a few mins at the quickest. Your body needs to be relaxed and your mind will perform tests. Unless you have that thing where SP can hit you at anytime... otherwise...

I can't really help out on the other stuff. I don't try to visualize a scene, I just watch the HI form and stuff

I would certainly think I went into SP, I don't know what else it'd be. I went numb. I couldn't move without willing myself. I had all the tingly stuff and everything. If it wasn't SP, I'm not sure what it would be :/

I usually visualize stuff to take my mind off of my body so I don't get distracted from stuff like itchiness. I don't know how it happens though, I am fine and in a deep trance, and then all of the sudden when I feel the vibrating I'm "awake" again.

Argh, I really wish I could have atleast 1 WILD, it would be so much easier if I just knew what it felt like...

      This was not SP.

This is SP. I never heard of the vibrations before. I don't get vibrations when I enter SP. The feeling of being numb is on track however. For some reason it seems as if your body is fighting SP and disengaging once you actually hit SP. This is normally caused by excitement. I have pretty strong feeling that you my be getting a bit excited because you are closing the gap to LD's and consciously you know this. It's the exact same fashion as being in an LD. If you are excited even remotely excited you have to bring that excitement down. SP is extremely easy to break if you are anxious and excited. You have to find a way to calm yourself once "your" vibrations kick in. Internally you are getting worked up and extremely anxious so you really need to find away to drop that down a level or two. The best way that I can tell you would be to take the SP for what it is and try not to focus at all on the vibrations that you are experiencing. Instead put your thoughts into "floating" Making your body appear as light as a feather and focus ONLY on this and nothing else. Not your breathing, not HI, not vibrations or audio or anything, only focus on "floating" If you do this correctly you will find yourself in an LD and once you get there be prepared for it to be a very very short experience. probably a few seconds.

Just keep the anticipation down. You are getting way to excited over reaching the SP that you are breaking yourself off from it. Try to lower and manage your inner excitement.

The numbness and not being able to move is SP but once you've recognized it for what it is then you must steer clear of getting anxious and excited. Use that advice I've given you up top and you will be fine
